Lakeview Manor of Chicagoland

Had a fantastic stay in Morris, Illinois. This is the second year we have rented this property and we couldn’t ask for more. Looking forward to next year!

Our stay at Lake View Manor was Phenomenal! The home was impeccably clean and well stocked with coffee, ice and everything we needed. Dean and Randy are exceptional hosts as always. They take pride in accommodating guests . Their check in instructions are a breeze. The panoramic views of the Lake view Manor are amazing and the beds are incredibly comfortable ! I have been a partner since 2023. I give Dean and Randy as hosts a 5 star rating and will continue booking stays to host my Family and networking Events .

We wanted to have a relaxing, family vacation in a high-end property, with the amenities to afford us a self-contained fun time. That way we could just enjoy each other's company. We were 4 families, 20 individuals, spanning 3 generations, from the ages of 71 down to 2 years of age. Lakeview Manor is beautiful, with ample, comfortable sleeping areas for everyone. The grounds are beautiful and spacious; the pool and jacuzzi are very enjoyable. It afforded us what we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay there immensely. Most importantly, we had the opportunity to bond as a family without any outside distractions. The Book-A-Memory team of Dean and Randy handled any questions or concerns instantly, professionally and effectively. Thank you for a memorable vacation. We highly recommend this property.

We spent 7 days in this property in August 2025. The house and pool and yard were great. This could easily be 5 stars but it needs some TLC. Windows were very dirty, one dishwasher was not functioning properly, the pool had a water leak and was not properly cleaned. The astroturf around the pool is disgusting and dangerous (pulling up in some areas and an accident waiting to happen). This house has many can lights but the cans are filled with different intensity LED bulbs….some soft light and some bright white (I prefer soft LED lighting). It would not take much effort to get this house into A1 shape and if so, it’s awesome! I hope these issues are addressed as we would like to be return guests.

We stayed for two weeks to see various family members who came and went as schedules allowed. Overall, the house is great on many levels, if lacking in a few specific areas. First, the great, the hosts are incredibly receptive, friendly, helpful and gave the distinct impressions that they want to make your stay as good as possible. The common spaces are wonderful as well as the main pool, with plenty of space for people of all ages to enjoy themselves. Next, the good, the dining rooms were great with lots of dishes and cookware, but it seemed to be spread all over the place so we had to track it down. Also, an ice machine was broken, there was nothing to protect the wooden dining room table so we got our own placemats and table cloth to address it. Also, it seems some areas in the house are a little tired, which the owners seem to be addressing as they can. Lastly, the not quite as good: the lower pool was leaking (which the owners made us aware of and were fixing), the wifi went out, but they restored it with an alternate network, and in case you can't tell, the lower rooms with bunks are all part of one main room, so it says 7 bedrooms, but for all intents and purposes, it is 5 with 2 joint bunk rooms. The good in this stay far outweighed any issues, hence the 5 star review, and I always say the best way to tell good vs great hosts, is when things go wrong. In our case, little issues were dealt with immediately, and our stay was filled with wonderful memories! Thank you.
